Just a quick one this morning to say the wind has worked its magic and the lake is mostly snow-free again. Ice thickness is 20+ cm and there are great patches of bubbles to be found at all major bubble viewing spots. Pretty good skating as well as you get away from shore.

Preacher's Point is in late season conditions, with some cool ice features and great bubbles to be found if you look around. Watch for weak, fractured ice and areas of open water there as the water level drops.

As always, be cautious navigating steep shorelines with fractured ice. Lower-angled sections are safer for accessing the lake and we highly recommend using traction devices.

We have a Chinook blowing in this week so are expecting some changes in the ice conditions. Stay tuned!

Lots of great patches of bubbles to be found! Pictures are from morning of January 25, the lake cleared up even more throughout the day.
