Ice conditions at Abraham Lake are amazing after a few days of fierce winds. Most of the lake is snow-free and ice thickness is 20+ cm at all major bubble viewing spots.

The Ice Bubbles Viewpoint, Hoodoo Creek, Abraham Slabs and Cline Landing all offer awesome bubble viewing conditions with clear and polished ice, and good skating away from shore. These are the best conditions we've had since the full freeze up.

Preacher's Point is in late season conditions, with some cool ice features and great bubbles to be found if you look around. Watch for weak, fractured ice and areas of open water there as the water level drops.

As always, be cautious navigating steep shorelines with fractured ice. Lower-angled sections are safer for accessing the lake and we highly recommend using traction devices.

Great bubbles and polished ice at all major viewpoints!
