A slight dusting of snow covers the ice at Preacher's Point. Once the wind starts blowing, combined with the cold air, the ice should polish up nice. The bubbles are great underneath so bring a broom and enjoy the unique feel of the area.

Preacher's Point remains the only section of Abraham Lake that is frozen with over 20 cm of ice. Watch for sections of weak ice and open water as there is moving water underneath. A thin layer of ice is starting to form in bays such as Cline Landing but we will need a stretch of sustained cold temperatures for the ice to thicken.

Preacher's Point looking north. The ice is progressing but we will need a long period of sustained cold for the full freeze up to happen.
