The prolonged heat wave has significantly altered ice conditions, creating weak areas, open water, and drain holes. While colder nights have refrozen some of these spots, the newly formed ice is thin and unreliable. With temperatures continuing to fluctuate, conditions will remain variable through the weekend and can change rapidly.
